Abstract
The biomechanics of tooth movement is still an enigma for both dentists (orthodontists, periodologists, etc.) and computer simulation scientists. Basically, teeth are embedded into the socket (alveolar crest) through the periodontal ligament that operates like a foundation, hydrodynamic [1], elastic [2] or not, of a nearly rigid body.
