The Italian Society of Rheology (SIR) organizes every two years the Italian Rheology Conference, which is the meeting point of the National and International rheological community to promote knowledge and discuss research in the field of rheology. The Conference consists of keynote lectures, oral communications and posters on topics related to all the thematic areas of rheology.
The XVIII edition of the SIR conference will be held in Villa Rosa, a recently renovated ancient Neapolitan villa in Capri Island (Naples, Italy), in September 12th-14th 2024.
All those with an interest in rheology, in all its aspects, are invited to submit contributions.
Book your accommodation in Anacapri well in advance, the island is a famous tourist destination and has limited availability of accommodations!
All accepted abstracts will be included in the Book of Abstracts having an assigned ISBN.
Selected papers will be eligible for a special issue in Rheologica Acta.
The Welcome Reception will be held on the afternoon of
Wednesday 11th September at Villa San Michele (
www.villasanmichele.eu), a villa built at the end of the 19th century by the Swedish physician and author Axel Munthe.

The conference dinner will be at the restaurant “Da Gelsomina” (
www.dagelsomina.com), famous for its traditional island cuisine and located few steps from the breathtaking Migliera scenic overlook.
